That's me...

Hello.  Harmony is the name, blogging is the game.  I’m a (gasp) 30ish Mom on a mission to love the unloved into relationship with Jesus.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Skyler, and this year we celebrated our 12th Anniversary!  Skyler has a huge heart for ministry and is hands down the greatest guy ever (And no, he didn’t pay me for such a shining endorsement, though I can be compensated in cheesecake or chocolate.  Just sayin…).  We just welcomed our son, Ransom Levi, to the world on August 26th, 2011.  To say we’re overjoyed would be the understatement of the millennium.

I have the most amazing job at Key Ministry.  I am the Director of Ministry Advancement and absolutely adore my amazing team mates and the incredible board we serve with!  Our mission is to help churches serve people affected by disability.  Though we offer FREE training on a wide range of topics relative to Inclusion Ministry, we specialize in helping churches better understand how to serve kids with “hidden disabilities”.    What’s a “hidden disability”?  Good question.  These kids are dealing with stuff that isn’t outwardly apparent such as Autism, ADHD, aggression, and other mental health issues.  We’re passionate about people coming into relationship with Jesus and realizing that they have a role to play in advancing the kingdom (and we mean EVERYONE!).  I believe God has put a very clear call on my life to be on a mission to reach these families.  I get pretty passionate about this stuff and if you stick around this bloggity blog I’m sure you’ll see that.

All in all I’m smack dab in the middle of some amazing stuff and am daily overwhelmed that the God of the universe would use a simpleton like me.  It’s pretty ridiculous but I’m deeply thankful.  I hope to leave a legacy for my kids that shows a reckless pursuit of the King.  Game on.  Here’s to changing the world…..let’s get started!

  1. Congratulations Harmony! Having 4 of those lovely little men myself (now much bigger men) it is the absolutely the greatest! God is so good! Loved seeing you in Cinci and seeing your lovely ministry about 3 years ago. May God continue to bless your growing family and your ministry.

  2. I have really enjoyed checking out this blog and your thoughts!
I am in the process of starting a disability ministry blog myself, and I was wondering if you would consider looking at it sometime to give me your thoughts. It is: acceptingthecallingoflevi.wordpress.com. I am a college student studying Special Education, and really have a heart for inspiring more churches and young people to fully embrace our families touched by special needs into the Body of Christ. I would really appreciate you looking at the beginning of my blog…I hope to post much more soon. I am looking forward to seeing where God will take this blog!
Thanks so much for your time,
    Victoria Kwasny

    • Hi Victoria!
So sorry for the delay in my response. I am excited for you as you begin this journey. If there is ever any way I can be of help or encouragement please don’t hesitate to reach out. Praying BIG things for you!

  3. I love your enthusiasm and def. plan on staying close to you guys. I had the honor of coordinating and running a respite through my local church for about a year. This last weekend I was a guest at another church speaking to them about our experience and how the evening flows. I am believing with you guys for more open doors and big moves of God in this area. I love your new training plans.
